Battery Construction
The Construction of a VRLA battery (all the batteries from our company belong to VRLA battery) is shown above. The following is the description of the different parts consisting of our batteries.
1. Plates (Electrodes)
Plate construction is the Key to produce a good battery. Recognizing this, Koyosonic utilizes the latest technology and equipment to cast grids from a lead-calcium alloy free of antimony. The small amount of calcium and tin in the grid alloy imparts strength to the plate and guarantees durability even in extensive cycle service. Lead oxide paste is added to the grid to form the electrically electrically active material. In the charged state, the negative plate paste is pure lead and that of the Positive lead oxide. Both of these are in a porous or spongy form to optimize surface area and thereby maximize capacity.
2. Separators
The separator is made of woven glass fiber cloth with high heat and oxidation resistance. The material further offers superior electrolyte absorption and retaining ability, as well as excellent ion conductivity.
3. Electrolyte
Immobilized dilute sulfuric acid: H2SO4
4. Container
Case material is a ABS, a high-impact proof plastic resin, Styrene, or a polypropylene-polyethylene polymer with resistance to chemicals and flammability. For 2V, 4V, 6V, 8V and 12V batteries, standard container is manufactured from ABS plastic resin (UL94HB). It is optional to use Flame Retardant ABS plastic resin (UL94V0). Each cell has 2v in voltage and 4v battery has 2 cells. 6v battery has 3 cells, 8v battery has 4 cells and 12V battery has 6 cells.
5. Terminals
Depending on the battery model, the terminals may be Fastern type, bolt-and-nut type, pressure-contact type, cable-and-connector type or other special types. Some are threaded-insertion type or bolt-and-nut type.
6. Relief Valve
In case of excessive gas pressure build-up inside the battery (usually caused by abnormal charging) the relief valve will open and relieve the pressure. The one-way valve ont only ensures that no air gets into the battery where the oxygen would react with the plates causing internal discharge, but also represents an important safety device in the event of excessive overcharge. Vent release pressure is between 2-6 PSI and the seal ring material is neoprene rubber.
7. Case sealing
The case sealing is tongue and groove with polyrethane, epoxy, or heat seal. The ABS plastic cover and container are sealed by a special epoxy made in Japan and is acid resistant.

Our Lead-acid batteries include AGM batteries and Automotive batteries. AGM batteries are also called as VRLA AGM batteries, mainly including NP general batteries, NPC deep-cycle batteries, NPH High-rate batteries, NPL long-life batteries, NPF front-terminal batteries, NPM motive-power batteries, NPG/NPCG/NPMG/NPFG gel-tech batteries, NPS solar-power batteries, and OPzS & OPzV tubular batteries. For SLI batteries, we mainly have Car batteries and Motorcycle batteries. In 2009, we started to produce Li-ion batteries which mainly includes Cylindrical Cell and Polymer Cell. And we also have Li-ion Battery Pack and produce against custom design. To meet more requirement from some customers, we have built solar power system since 2012.
We have introduced advanced production and test equipments to produce lead acid batteries and so we can do much better in the battery fields as we are very strict in production management and we have first-class technology and unique directions for the batteries. We have more than 800 staff members among whom there are more than 50 professional technicians. This ensures our products are much better in performance and reliable in quality. We have gotten production license from National Quality and Technology Supervision Bureau and also we have gotten some international certificates such as UL, CE, TLC and ISO9001 & ISO14001.
In market, we mainly produced the batteries against OEM orders for some well-known international companies. Nowadays, we are going to market our own brand "Koyosonic" and welcome customers to visit us for more negotiation in our business cooperation.
