NPN, PNP, Normally Open, Normally Closed Selection, Select the option according to the need to use, and explain the output type as follows:
Normally open and normally closed, the main difference is based on the status of the contacts in the sensor when there is no induction.
Normally open type: The contact is open when the proximity switch sensor is not activated (when no object is sensed) and closed when the proximity switch sensor senses the object. Normally open is the signal output is in the open state in the normal state. When the object is sensed, the contact is closed and the signal is output.
Normally closed: The contact is closed when the proximity switch sensor is not active and is open when the proximity switch sensor senses an object. Normally closed is the signal output in the normal state is closed, the signal continues to output, when the object is touched when the contact is open, the output closes the signal.
NPN: After the installation, when there is no induction, the output is high (for example, input 24V, output 24V or so). When there is an object sensing, the output is low and the output signal is triggered to achieve the detection purpose.
PNP: After installation, when there is no induction, the output is low (for example, input 24V, output 0V or so). When there is an object sensing, it outputs a high potential and triggers the output signal to achieve the detection purpose.
