HySec
MV multi-function apparatus for increased safety and compactness

HySec is the Rockwill multi-function apparatus integrating the features of:

Vacuum circuit breaker
SF6 line disconnector
SF6 earthing switch.

Application

HySec is the optimal solution for air insulated metal enclosed panels, especially where space limitation is a concern (e.g. Compact Substations,...).

HySec can be used for both incomer and feeder units, including capacitor banks (C2 class).

Increase service safety

HySec allows to build panels with Metallic Partition class (PM), increasing personnel safety during maintenace activities.

Long lasting

HySec is a sealed for life solution and can perform up to 10,000 close-open operations thanks to its robust mechanical design.

Compactness

Thanks to its integrated functions, HySec can reduce the panel footprint by more than 30% with respect to standard solutions. In fact, HySec can fit panels 500 mm wide.
Moreover, HySec can allow direct cable earthing, thus avoiding a dedicated panel.

Fast and easy assembly

Thanks to HySec, only one apparatus needs to be mounted, wired and connected inside the panel. Moreover, mechanical interlocks are embedded and tested by the factory.
HySec reduces switchgear material by 15% and assembly time by 10%.
