RRM series MELF fusible resistors for constant voltage are designed as fusible safety resistor (or, AC mains input resistors) in electric appliances and energy meters for overload protection. The specially selected resistive film and trimming method and special non-flammable silicon cement coating material are adopted to ensure safe and silent fusing operation without flame on immediate interruption in overload.
The fusing time of the RRM series fusible resistors could be influenced by the ambient temperature since the resistors could be derating caused by the high temperature surrounding.
RRM series fusible resistors could be performance normally when operated within the permissible power dissipation as shown in the derating curve.
