6640 Polyester film / polyaramid fibre paper flexible laminate (NMN) is a three-layer flexible laminate in which each side of polyester film (M) is bonded with one layer of polyaramide fibre paper (Nomex). This product has excellent electrical insulating properties, heat resistance, mechanical strength and impregnated property. It is used for slot insulation, interphase insulation, interturn insulation and liner insulation in Class F electric motors and electric appliances. 6640 has passed SGS test for toxic and hazardous substance detection. 1 Technical requirements 1.1 Appearance requirement should accord with stipulations of Part I: Definition & General Requirement, Electrical Insulating Flexible Laminates, GB/T 5591.1-2002 (MOD with IEC60626-1: 1995). 1.2 Dimension: Nominal width:900 mm+/-10mm. Nominal weight: 50+/-5kg /Roll. 2 Test method As per the stipulations in Part II: Test Method, Electrical Insulating Flexible Laminates, GB/T 5591.2-2002 (MOD with IEC60626-2: 1995). Testing for thermal resistance shall be as per the relative stipulations in JB3730-1999. 3 Packing, Transportation and Storage 3.1 6640 is supplied in rolls, sheet or tape and packed in cartons or/and pallets. 3.2 6640 should be stored in clean & dry warehouse with temperature below 40ºC. Keep away from fire, heat and direct sunshine.3.3 The other requirements shall accord with the stipulations in Part I: Definition & General Requirement , Electrical Insulating Flexible Laminates, GB/T 5591.1-2002 (MOD with IEC60626-1: 1995). 4 Application & Remarks The properties (mechanical strength, breakdown voltage, flexibility and stiffness) of NMN are different for using different nominal thickness¡ polyester film. The thickness of the polyester film should be clearly indicated in purchasing order or contract.
