The relay is applicable to protection and monitoring of operating conditions of a transformer oil pump used for strong oil air cooler or strong oli water cooler. It monitor if the oil pump reverses, if the valve opens and if oil flow is normal.
Operating Conditions
The relay's ooperating conditions are as follows:
1 Ambient temperature: -30ºC~45ºC
2 Relative humidity is not more than 90% when air temperature is +25ºC or +-5ºC.
3 The oil temperature is not more than 90ºC.
4 The transformer oil in the cooler should be clean without any foreign matters such as thrum and welding slag.
5 There is no strenuous vibration or bump about around.

Gas relay is a major protective device to prevent any internal fault in oil filled transformer and oil filled on-load tap changer. Gas relay is mounted at the middle of the connection pipe between the transformer and the oil conservator. When internal fault in transformer and on-load tap changer results in oil decomposition to generate gas or sudden oil surge, the contact of the gas relay will operate to connect the designated control circuit, send a signal or automatically disable the trasformer.

Operating Principle
An oil flow passes through the adapting pipe after turning on the oil pump,the movable plate will be impelled when the oil flow reaches certain value,and the magnet that has a common axis with the movable plate will be in company with rotation and bring the magnet that is in the indicating part after an interval of thin wall by magnetic force.When the movable plate is impelled to the position at 85 degrees,the magnet in the indicating part also rotates at 85 degresss so that the normally closed contact in the electric part is opened and the normally open contact is closed,giving a normal working signal.The movable plate will return by the aid of spring force and bring the indicating part to return so that the normally open contact in the electric part is opened and the normally clsed contact is closed,giving a trouble singal if the oil flow is reduced to acertain degree.The cooler 's oil pump can be monitored to join the relay's contact outlet into the control box circuit.
